Herdr runs on your machines, so there isn't much to say here. This page covers what the Herdr desktop app, the Herdr apps for iOS and Android, and herdr.dev send to Herdr, Inc., and what we keep.

##The mobile apps

The app talks only to the machines you add, over SSH. Your terminals go between your phone and your machine and never pass through us. There's no sign-in, no ads, no tracking and no analytics.

Dictation runs on your phone. If you pick Apple's or Google's speech engine instead, their privacy policies apply. Speech models download once from huggingface.co and github.com.

The app asks for the microphone when you dictate, and for your photos or camera when you attach an image. An image attached to a message goes to your own machine. An image attached to feedback comes to us.

##Feedback

When you press Send in the feedback form, on your phone or on the desktop, we get your message, your email if you typed one, the screenshots you attached, and the app version, system, device type and herdr-core version. We use it to fix things and to answer you. Please don't put secrets in a screenshot.

##The desktop app

The desktop app sends one anonymous usage report a day, with counts and names from a fixed list, like which agents and layouts you use and how many tabs were open. It never sends terminal content, file names or prompts. You can turn it off in Settings.

The app is open source, so you can check exactly what it sends in the repository.

When releases.herdr.dev serves a download, we count the version, platform and country.

##herdr.dev

Cloudflare hosts the site and sees the usual request data.

##What we keep

We keep usage reports for 3 months, and feedback until we've dealt with it or until you ask us to delete it. We don't store IP addresses, and we don't sell or share any of this. Cloudflare hosts it for us.

To delete something, email [email protected] and tell us what it was.
